Derailments at F.I.R.E.I.N.C.A.I.R.O. (We Are The Time / Gerrit Rietveld Academie)
Derailments sets forth notions of misalignments as acoustic / political dissonance and the acts that happen ‘in between of’ / ‘despite of’ collisions, ruptures, mishaps. The Derailment hence, becomes a space of potentiality to perform matters of urgency; an embodied margin of error from which to subvert existing ‘defects’ in the systems we formulate / inhabit.

F.I.R.E.I.N.C.A.I.R.O. is a Live Radio/Event space inspired, in part, by the renowned Belfast independent record label, Good Vibrations. The project is a collaboration with the artist-run space Goleb, the UK community radio station SoundartRadio (102.5FM), and the Gerrit Rietveld Academie’s very own Radio Rietveld.
